Tunafi
Little Numbers privacy policy
Tunafi Ltd · Effective 30 October 2026
A short explanation for children
Little Numbers remembers your practice and saves your writing on the device you use. It does not send your work to us, show adverts or let you chat with strangers. Ask your grown-up if you want to change or remove saved work.
Who we are
Tunafi Ltd creates Little Numbers for iPhone and iPad. This policy covers the app, its support and privacy pages, and information a grown-up chooses to send us for help. Tunafi Ltd is responsible for personal information it receives through support and for the operation of these website pages.
Privacy and support contact: support@tunafi.com. Company website: tunafi.com.
Information kept on your device
The app stores your learning path, maths difficulty, question count, spoken-prompt setting and reading voice. It also saves practice totals, answers completed independently or with help, recent-question history, activity markers and grown-up notes. Writing plans, typed work, drawings and review checklists are saved in the app’s storage.
These records let you continue your practice and saved work. There is no registration form or named child profile. You do not need to provide a name, date of birth, email address or school. Please avoid putting unnecessary personal details into notes or writing.
The app does not upload these records to Tunafi Ltd. We cannot see, recover or delete them remotely. People using the same installation share its records; the learning paths are not separate password-protected accounts.
No adverts, tracking or commercial content
Little Numbers contains no adverts, sponsored content, in-app purchases, subscriptions or paid upgrades inside the app. It has no tracking, third-party analytics or data-collection SDKs. Learning content is included in the app, and learning activity is not sent to our servers. We do not sell children’s information or use their work for advertising or AI training.
Drawing, voices and permissions
The app does not request access to the camera, microphone, location, contacts or photo library. Finger and Apple Pencil drawings stay in the app’s local storage.
Spoken prompts use Apple’s speech synthesis to read the app’s content. They do not record a child’s voice. The two reading options are the British female narrator, selected by default, and Arthur, a British male voice. These voices must be available on the device; Apple’s voice downloads and system services are governed by Apple’s own privacy information.
Device backups and Apple services
Little Numbers has no app-managed cloud account, synchronisation or online backup. Device backups, including iCloud or computer backups, may contain local app data depending on your settings. Restoring a backup may restore saved work. You control backups through your device and Apple’s services.
Apple separately operates the App Store, payments, device backups and system diagnostics. An App Store purchase does not give Tunafi Ltd your payment-card details. This policy does not replace Apple’s privacy information.
Keeping and deleting saved work
Local records remain until you change or remove them, reset the relevant progress or delete the app.
In the grown-up area, resetting a learning path clears its maths and preparation progress, recent-question history, activity markers and grown-up notes. It keeps writing drafts and the other learning path’s records.
To remove writing, open its prompt, clear the plan or text, clear the drawing and save the changes as needed. To remove the installation’s local data, choose Delete App in the device’s storage settings. Offload App keeps documents and data. Existing backups may still contain earlier copies; manage these separately in your backup settings.
Because we do not hold your local learning records, we cannot restore lost work or remove it from your device for you.
If a grown-up contacts us
When you email support@tunafi.com, we receive your email address, any name you provide, your message and attachments. Contacting us is optional and is not required to use the app. Please describe issues using an invented example where possible. Avoid sending children’s names, photographs, schools or saved work unless essential to resolving the issue.
We use correspondence to answer your request, investigate problems and handle follow-up questions. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in supporting users and maintaining the app, balanced against your rights. We rely on a legal obligation where the law requires particular information to be kept or used. We do not use support correspondence for advertising or mailing lists.
Access is limited to people authorised to handle support for Tunafi Ltd and our email hosting provider, which delivers, stores and protects the mailbox. Support messages stay in that mailbox rather than being forwarded to another email service.
We keep correspondence while it is needed to resolve the request and necessary follow-up. We consider whether the issue remains open, whether a dispute or legal retention requirement applies, and whether the information is still needed. We delete or anonymise it when these purposes no longer require it.
Visiting these website pages
Our website hosting, content-delivery and domain-forwarding providers process technical request information, such as IP address, requested address, browser information and access time, to deliver the pages and keep them secure. These pages have no contact form, advertising scripts or analytics scripts, and their page code does not set cookies. Provider security measures may still process technical information when you visit.
Our legitimate interests are making support and privacy information available and protecting the website against abuse. Operational records are kept according to the need to deliver the service, investigate faults or security incidents and meet legal requirements. Our providers apply their service retention rules; records needed for an unresolved incident or legal obligation may be retained longer.
Links to Apple, the ICO or other external services take you to separately operated websites with their own privacy practices.
Processing outside the UK
Our email hosting and domain services are supplied by a Canadian commercial provider. Canadian processing subject to the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) is covered by the UK’s adequacy arrangements.
Our website hosting and content-delivery provider operates internationally, including in the United States and Europe. Its transfer arrangements include the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework for covered US transfers and standard contractual clauses with the UK Addendum where required.
Contact support@tunafi.com for details of the providers involved or a copy of the safeguards relevant to your information.
Your privacy rights
For personal information held by Tunafi Ltd, you can request access, correction, deletion or restriction, and portability where it applies. Rights depend on the circumstances and the lawful basis for processing. We may ask for proportionate information to verify a request.
You have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests, including the support and website processing described above. Explain your circumstances when you contact support@tunafi.com so that we can consider your request.
You can raise a concern with us or complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at the ICO complaints service. Your local learning records remain under your control on the device, as explained above.
Children and grown-up involvement
The app is designed for the 4+ and 7+ learning paths with grown-up guidance. It has no social feed, messaging or public uploads. Learning records support practice; they do not predict admission or make decisions about access to education. Writing, handwriting and conversation are reviewed by a grown-up.
The arithmetic gate helps limit accidental entry to the grown-up area. It is not identity verification or a way to collect parental consent.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy if our information practices change and show the new effective date. Where required, changes involving new collection or sharing will be explained before they take effect.
